While many Christians in America battle for political and cultural ascendancy, the humility that paves the way for witness is often left by the wayside along with the souls of my generation. Many in my generation have walked away from the church. I've spent some time thinking about why I haven't. After all, I saw the same things, went through the same struggles to come to terms with faith in the face of an American brand of Christianity that seemed to put America before Christ. This podcast follows that struggle and analyzes how we can make things different for my generation and those to come -- and why, ultimately, I stayed. .

I don’t follow God *now* primarily because he makes sense to me. Otherwise, what would be the point of following a God at all … or any religion? I might as well follow myself, if I think I’m only going to follow whatever I agree with. Wanna learn from God more because he has proven himself to me personally, not cause I understand it all.

I speculate that one reason we might care so much more about justice than we should in this world is that we are somehow designed to care more about justice ultimately … but for now God lets us know a clear boundary. it’s like stage one is trust. and later on, is what we desire on top of that. Who knows? Just because I don’t know the answer doesn’t mean there isn’t an answer. God knows the answer.

. I definitely like the mercy is part of the glory thing. Gotta think more on that. Sad this podcast is ending because there’s very little that is more interested in the audience of God than being culturally relevant. Yet still being culturally relevant. And very important that this episode doesn’t even mention politics.
